Ippon nori is a unique activity built on Kito’s lumbering history where you ride a log down river like a surfboard, laughing hysterically at the ridiculous idea of using a boat... Yes, you read correctly. "Ride a big log down river"... like a surfboard. It is as awesome as it sounds.

A festival is held around the end of July / beginning of august, where you can experience this for yourself. You can also participate in the Ippon Nori practice, that are usually held once a week for a month's time leading up to the festival.
